You will need chicken, although most meet is quite suitable.
Some Eggs, depends on how much chicken your making. For a breast size about three eggs should suffice.
Cornstarch, you'll need a lot of this.
Some oil.
Paper towels.
Something metallic to put over the burner to use for deep frying.
Using a second container cover it with paper towels, this will be the evacuation bowl.
Now cut up the chicken into pretty small slices, although I prefer bigger slices since I like to taste my chicken ^^
Meanwhile preheat some oil in a pan, or pot or w/e (obviously the temperature matters, but about medium high should do the trick)

Ok, umm next your going to make the batter
Grab yet another container, large enough to house several pieces of chicken.
Your going to combine the eggs with the cornstarch and whisk thoroughly. The key is to break down the cornstarch and use it to keep the coating together, but don't make it too milky cause that has the opposite effect.
Btw the batter is a good time to add asian spices, like curry powder.
After this is all done, time to test out the fryer.
Dip a slice of chicken into the batter, and toss it into the oil. (10 points for anyone who can do this from 3 feet away, will def impress the ladies lol)
Now you want to figure out how long to keep the chicken in the oil. Wait until the color changes to a darker yellow. You don't want to eat raw chicken do u? Once you think it's about right, take it out, dry it in paper towel (the rescue bowl) and cut it. Looks good? Now eat it, if your satisfied, the rest is pretty easy. Just keep adding chicken, making sure their not too close together, flipping them over as you go. And when your all done, grab some General Tso sauce from the chinese super market and mix it all up.
